harry potter and star wars. oddly similar. discuss.
- battle of good vs. evil: fight to the death.
- one has light sabers and jedi mind tricks and the other has wands and magic spells.
- they both have three good friends trio leads. harry, hermoine, ron. luke, han, leia. (han&leia. hermoine&ronald)
- there are lots of fun creatures.
- neither heros listen to their teachers.
- their friends always help them out of jams.
- voldemort. emperor.
- um there are more. and i was excited about this non-too-shocking-or-hard-to-figure-out realization that i am sure many, many people have made before me, but now it has lost its luster.
the movie was good. i think it was probably better for the hard core hp-ers. it was somber - defiantely the most serious thus far. and there was minimal teenage love drama, which, as stated previously, is my favorite part. the effects and direction were pretty awesome i must admit! more news lata!

baby is JEALOUS that you have seen the movie. i am about to quit my job so i can catch a matinee. or maybe i'll wait until the weekend. does it make me dumb if i had to read the "hardcore hp-ers" part like three times before i realized you meant harry potter, to which this post is dedicated?
Harry had a little makey outey in this one... Good for the teenage-love people! :)
I totally thought the same thing. Light sabers and rays of light shooting from wands. The same. I enjoyed.
hermioni is pricess leah's illigetimate daughter by java that hut. hehe
If I see Harry Potter on my tv screen one more time this week I may just remove it from my home~he is wierd!
And it is the old stuff I am looking at but there is a HP marathon on one of those channels;)
very similar...maybe that's why i love harry potter soooo much. i never thought of that before. good job kat. i can't wait to see the new movie! we have been watching the marathon on whatever channel that is to remind us of everything that has happened. can't wait!
i've never seen a single star wars or harry potter. to many a travesty, to me, great success.
i have ADD i think HP might be boring for me
I'm going to see it on Sunday, I can't wait. You guys realize we're all like 26 years old right?
I'll wait til it's rentable. I mean I really WANT to see it terribly, but I'm cheap like that...and oh yeah, I have a newborn...so movie theaters are out.
book six has lots more teenagerey-relationship-goodness. you'll like that.
