Christmas Party 2007
isn't it beautiful? leah created it. it makes me happy. we had a great time and came home with some great gifts - a traditional nepalese corta (which karl wore for a good portion of the evening) and a potato pellet gun (it worked!).
laundry is in the wash. mac and cheese and hotdogs and kool-aid were made for dinner. 50 first dates is on the tv. fleecy blankets are piled high. one more week of work until the holiday break.
i can't figure out this photo. but you get the gist. it's FABULOUS.

that is magnificent. did she happen to mention how she made it? is it a Styrofoam cone covered in something with everything poked in with toothpicks? i want to make one, it is so incredibly gorgeous!!!
I'm so glad everyone had a good time. It was great to hang out with you guys. We don't do it often enough.
P.S. You must share your butter cake recipe with me. It was fantastically delicious!
P.P.S. The olive tree was made from a green floral cone with toothpicks stuck in it. Then I just poked all the olives and cheese on. Very easy.
oooooh aaaaaah LOOOOOVE the tree. my mother use to make a cheese ball tree...mini cheeseballs of all different flavors...YUUUMMMYYY good memories! and btw...wish i was invited to dinner that sounds too good! :)
